NDA — Non-Disclosure Agreement
A contract under which one or both parties undertake to keep confidential information shared between them confidential.
In practice
Mutual NDAs (both parties bound) are standard between commercial counterparties exploring potential deals. Unilateral NDAs (one party bound) are common between employers and employees, or principals and their advisers.
