Share Certificate
A document issued by a company evidencing ownership of a specified number of shares by a named shareholder.
In practice
Modern UAE practice is digital share certificates rather than physical. The certificate names the company, the shareholder, the number of shares, the share class, the date of issue, and is signed by directors. Share certificates are evidence of ownership but the company's register of members is the authoritative record.
