Is the Indonesia-UAE DTA in force?
Yes since 1999, updated by 2022 Protocol. Caps dividend WHT at 5% for shareholdings of at least 25%, 10% otherwise. Interest WHT 5%, royalties 5%.
How do Indonesian CFC rules affect my UAE company?
CFC rules (PMK 93/2019, updated PMK 18/2021) attribute UAE company profits to Indonesian-resident shareholders (50%+) if UAE company subject to less than 50% of Indonesia's tax rate. UAE 9% CT and 0% QFZP both trigger. Becoming non-resident eliminates exposure.
Do I need to register UAE investment with BI?
